I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
